What does the tuckzilla need to make it work? Or any suggestions? How is power compared to the 25?

Imma back drummerjamesh on this

your question "what does the truckzilla need to make it work?"

either a Savage 21, 25, or SS

In order for Truckzilla needs...

Not to sound like an azz

but if you did your research on the Truckzilla, it gives you all you need to make it work...

Suggestion, get a used savage on Ebay ... or buy the missing parts and buid one from skratch..

I have got the ss. But i seen on your thread whas that you mentioned a different clutch bell. Also can i use the stock tires? How is the power compared to the s-25?

i suggest a different clutch bell size if you are going to run stock tires...

the clutch bell on the Truckzilla is 19T...

If you run your 18T on your SS you notice less torque but higher top speed...

I would but a 15T on that or at least 14T minimum..

you'll get MAD Torque out of it..

not wheelies but riding on your rear bumper.

the rest you can do a search and read the threads

power wise...

S-25 is like 2.4HP rite?? something like that

.46 is 4.7HP..

it's not a racing engine..

it's a hardcore off roading engine..

just like EK4 which uses a .70 engine

All Torque and low top speed...

which how a off road truck should be...

if you ask me.. 40+ mph... that a plus...
but can you do that on a off road track???

going in a straight line okay on a flat field

but cutting through ruff terrain, mud, snow, sand....
You need that torque, who cares about top speed...

I did do a search but you are the onlty one that seems to know about it. Sorry to be stupid but why do you need to change the clutch bell.

Kyleb the engine (.46) is a very powerful engine, the kit by the way comes with the clutch bell you need. But you do need to match clutch bells with your engine, more tooth for more powerful engines, otherwise you will not be able to achieve and utilize the full power of your engines. You may experiment with it, if you have a powerful engine with lower Ts, you will be making too much wheelies and not go as fast as you would by putting in more Ts.

Yes, i know that stuff, but thanks for reminding me. I have been following a thread at savage-central and most guys have had problems with them. Is this an engine that i can bash with? Also guys have claimed to recieve two different clutch bells 17 and 19 what is up with this? If i ran the stock tires i can expect lots of power, but with the larger ones i can expect a little higher top speed. Also are there many different clutch bells out there for it or can i exchange with other engines. Thanks

okay.. here are some things I recommend and suggestions

Get the RRP spur gear... plastic ones MELT... not chipped teeth but MELTING...

High torque steering servo...

If you are going to run smaller wheels then you need to run a small CB...

honestly truckzilla should be only runn on the big wheels.. thing it is a waste to run with stock sized wheels

if you plan on running stock wheels then I suggest staying away from this kit

get a Picco/WASP, XTM, Siro 27...

today I ran it with a plastic 48T Spur.. melted that

ran it with the stock 52T Plastic .. melted that

ran it with 49T.. melted that one too...

RRP metal spur gear....best..

i do have a steering servo high torque. Is this a good engine has it been bad for you. what does running the smaller tires do

I read that Savage Central thread also. Either some people ended up with some lemons or its a really poorly designed motor.
TRDStreetFighter has done nothing but praised it. I'm going to wait as it seems kind of like a coin toss right now. Ill see how TRD's holds up.

Yes i will probably wait too. It seems like some of the engines are good and some a bad. Most of what i read says the HB has bad customer support. Does any body know thier website?

well... it could be turning issues that a lot people are having... if it is not tuned properly it can run like crap...

I am still happy with it... but you never know.. wait a month... but so far... I've been happy with it...

I guess from battling tuning a WASP 26... this is nothing...
