TRDStreetFighter, how much more does the truck weigh? Did you have to change shock oil or just adjust the spring tension????
Looks too awsome! Just found my next upgrade!!!!

I also e-mailed Nova to when are they going release there new heads on the 46...

So you said half throttle is like full throttle on the .26? Wow, thats some power! Is it hard to contoll? I am very interested. I am running the Wasp .26 with extended chassis, 16/52 gearing. and it is fast, I can't imagine controlling that much more power. Did you lock it in high gear or does it shift? Sorry all the questions, just want to know before I drop the $$$?

it still shifts.. had to do some adjustments... since the engine only produces 23,000 RPMs and the WASP 37,000 RPMs

On my old set up I had a WASP 26 witha 52T/14T set up

this one is a 52T/19T set up

I just remembered that I have a 48T Spur gear.. goin to try that today

the engine gives a 4.7HP... it's a torque motor.. very good for off roading and turning the massive wheels

I don't do full throttle as much since there is so much power...

my engine stay around 150 degrees and I don't burn up as much fuel

I like the longer chassis, but am worried about the durability of the .46 engine.

I asked Hot Bodies' CS about the .46 engine's durability. They said it will be a competitor of some of the best in the market. I have a feeling that although it has HB on the engine, that the parts are actually manufactured by some reputable Italian micro engine manufacturer, gut feel it could be Novarossi, but the CS person could not admit to me.

So for $230++ you think it's worth it -- I say YES!

I got my Steering servo today

Airtronics ERG-VB 94358

Torque: 200oz per inch.
Length: 1-9/16" (39.5mm)
Width: 3/4" (19mm)
Heigth: 1-1/2" (38mm)
Weigth: 1.9 oz
Speed: 0.10 sec at 60 degree rotation-6 volt operation

got for $100 @ my LHS... lemme tell yah..

Plus I changed my Spur Gear to 48T... Pulled wheelies with the extended chassis and Mayhem tiress..

Thats a nice servo. I got one in my T-Maxx and plan on putting one in my SS. Little pricey compared to the Hitecs, but you can't beat the torque and speed.

From everything I have read here and on another site I say it totally looks like it's worth it. If you think about it, the kit comes with so much if without tires for $230.00. I was thinking of putting the XTM 24/7 pro for $189.99 I say why not pay $40.00 more and get the truckzilla kit. Late

Yep, just the engine and extended chassis make up for the price...then add in a tuned pipe (which I need anyhow) and it's a real good deal

What kind of Throttle servo are you running?

Can the pieces for the conversion kit be purchased separately thru a LHS if they don't sell the kit itself? I've searched and like to know exactly what parts and part #'s I need to piece it together.

Thanks.......

YEs the kit pieces can be purchased separately but it's so not worth the money. Look at www.meganitro.com under the truckzilla page and soon they will have availability to purchase everything separately. If you just want the .46 engine for example it's $300.00 just get the kit you wilil be money ahead to do so.

I think that's the MSRP or some poop...cuz remember, the Truckzilla was supposed to be like $400 and it's around $320 for the complete set. You can't expect people to pay $80 more for just an engine when you can get the base conversion kit for like $230 shipped

I'd imagine the engine will cost somewhere in the $200 range. But you'll still have to at least buy the motor mount.

Just curious if you upgraded servos because you actually needed to. I was talking with a guy at m y LHS and told him I might go truckzilla and he beat it into my head that I need to get better servos. I know I need a better steering servo and will flip around the SF2 servo. I think that should be good. Did you get both??

well I got the Airtronics one that does 200oz of torque... my throttle I used my JR MG z590 that came with my JR XS3 system..

but that airtronics is well worth the money about $100

200oz of torque...

Hitec 645 i think that the part # is 134pz??? but price is around $40

$269.95 for the Truckzilla kit with wheels and tires is a no-brainer. That's so cheap it almost seems like a mistake.

Hmmm, this could lead into a new career. Let's see:

Step 1: Go to http://www.ultimatehobbies.com/, buy one Savage SS kit for $329.95, and one Truckzilla kit for $269.95. Total cost: about $600.00.

Step 2: Assemble Truckzilla and sell to some sucker on EBay for, ummmmm, around $900.00.

Step 3: Take the spare pieces left over after assembling the Truckzilla (i.e., .25 SS engine, complete set of wheels, etc) and sell them on EBay too! Woo-hoooo! You could make a fortune doing this.

In all seriousness though, $600.00 total for something like a Truckzilla is a Helluva deal. I am definitely gonna take the plunge.

BTW; there's a Truckzilla for sale on EBay. LOL Check it out:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...4029&item=3172225709&ssPageName=STRK:MEBDW:IT It got bid up to $710, but the seller had a higher reserve price.
