Truckzilla Finally here

That 'Truckzilla' kit sounds reasonable. If it is $230.00 w/o tires but includes the engine and the rest, that's a deal. I am seriously considering this. What do you advise TRD?

:smoke:

Kit includes:

.46 Engine P/S
Roto Start back plate
Extend chasis that is thicker than stock
4 Heavy duty Dog bogs
Hevy duty extended rear shaft
Tuned polished pipe
New Machined screws

I think it is worth it...

That seems like a lot of money for only an inch longer and a larger engine. Why couldn't you just stuff a .46 into the stock Savage? Not enough room? If you are intrested in selling the spare parts you now have laying around PM me.

TRD, my order has been placed. I can't wait for it to come, it says mid-Feb.

cool... Megantiro.com that's where I got mine when it was $225.. but $230 is still a good price..

do you think buying the truckzilla kit is much better than buying a 200$ engine? with respect to performance and durability, specially the .46 engine compared to the picco?
I like the longer chassis, but am worried about the durability of the .46 engine.

okay lemme put it this way...

50% throttle on a .46 is 100% throttle on a .26

oh yeah... for those just getting w/o tire package...

you may wanna change your CB when you get it..

I believe the truckzilla comes with a 19T CB which was design to power the 7 inch wheels...

I ran the truck with stock and my Mayhems

turns out it runs much better with the Mayhem wheels..

I am just going to say this

$200 for an engine

which you'll end up buying Heavy duty dog bones as well

up to you...

I am pleased with it..

nope..

they are the Hotbodies 7" wheels...

www.hotbodiesonline.net

5th day with the truckzilla

15 tanks later

the hottiest I've ever gotten the .46 engine was 230....

tuning is way easier than my WASP 26

only thing I wish the kit came was a steering servo...

looks like I have to get one now

the engine does has some serious power...

the UFO wheels are holding up... yet I've had these 4 months prior to the Truckzilla

I think the ones that come with the kit the Revolutions are the ones that crack... they are thinner than the UFO's

Raced the 25 RTR and took it .. going to install my WASP 26 on the 25RTR and see how it compares to the 46

I am still pleased with the kit:thumbup:

fuel wise, i did notice fuel consumption is a little quicker.. not much though...
seems resonable for the size of the engine...

improvements and recommendation to HB about there kit:

Adjustable engine mount
UFO wheels instead of the Revolution
1 piece exhaust kit
steering servo with the kit

I want to upgrade my Savage as well. I have Titan wheels with Maxx Mulcher tires. You think this is sufficient?

are they 7"???? any thing bigger than stock will do.. if not you can always change the Clutch bell

So right now i'm in the market for a new engine and it's $190 which is close to the price of the conversion. So I guess i'll get the conversion.

Would you recommend going to a smaller clutch bell with stock savage tires? Is it geared too low stock? What size tires are you running?

Also, does the stock body fit normally or does the body post location change?

Due to the longer chassis, yes the body post wholes would change. Therefor you must either get a new body, or just cut some new holes. I wish I had a Savage to use this kit!

yeah truckzilla comes with a 19T Clutchbell so you don't melt the clutch pads it when running the 7" wheelies...

smaller CB is recommended for stock wheeles..

Thanks for tire info. They are 7 inches.

What part of Chicago are you from? I live around the midway area in the suburb of LaGrange
Do you know any spots around here where people race or bash?
