Today my son jumped our truck into a creek.
I took the head off, the servos off, and blew everything off with the air compressor.
Do I need to do anything with the transmission?
Any help is appreciated!

Go nuts with the WD-40. This is where it does its job best. Displace all the water you can.

I would check the INSIDE of all the electronics if it was swimming under water for any length of time. If it was just barely in the water and splashed a lot, then you should be good.

If it was submerged, beware!

As Çh®i§tiªñ stated do a wd-40 bath. Biggest thing to do if it was submerged fullly is open the cases for a receiver and servos leave them dry out for several days before putting any power to them again. Even then you may have to get a new receiver or servos. But I would try the drying for several days first. I had it happen to me before and I didn't lose anything got lucky I guess.

Oh and one other thing
After the drawing out if everything seems to work ok make sure to do a range check on the receiver. Last thing you'd need is to have is it running WOT then find out the receiver is screwed and has no range.

Thanks for the help, tried everything electric today & it works.
Tomorrow we put the head back on & do the range test.
Keep your fingers crossed!

i know a guy whos truck went out of controll and took a dip in the ditch ....all his electronics got messed up ....gess he wasn't so lucky

good luck thought and i hope ur truck passes the range test

Yeah I lost my reciever and throttle servo when that happen to me, Use plastic dip from like Home depot and you can run them beast in the water all you want! I think there is an article on here posted by someone on how to palstic dip your electrnics, good stuff, do a search for waterproofing.
