i was wondering how i would put a throttle return spring(TRS) on my wasp .18 with a slide carb. i have never installed a TRS on any of my nitros. i know how to put a TRS on a rotary carb but not a slide carb. advice, steps, pic would be great.i have a Venom failsafe on it but after a runaway at the RCNT florida bash because my throttle servo died and my failsafe couldnt do a thing i figured its time to install a TRS.

I'll try to take some pics of mine tomorrow afternoon. I have a Wasp 18 on one of my Maxx trucks. I actually use a rubberband. I have used a TRS on it before and I use to connect it to the throttle servo arm and the front shock tower. I personally like the rubber band around the slide arm and hsn. I've use this for over a year with no problems. I replace the rubber bands once or twice a month depending on how often I run my cars. If you do decide to do the rubberband mod; use the small thin ones, loop it twice and put one end over the slide arm and the other over the hsn.

this is how my throttle linkage is set up(i doubt i can connect the TRS to the front shock tower. lol.)

i seen a pic where the guy had the TRS attached to the ball stud on the carb and had the TRS running over and connected to the HSN. i dont like that idea because it might pop the air filter off.

thanks for the help.
