Trinity Sirio .21 Buggy Engine Kanai III

Does anyone run this engine. I was going to run an OS .21 VZ-B in my Kanai III, but I saw a thread in the 1/8 Buggies that says there is a problem with the cylinder wearing out too fast. I have just bought the OS and am thinking about returning it for the Sirio. I know that the carb on the Sirio is composite, and being old fashioned, I don't trust anything but metal.

Do you have a composite carb? How long? Any problems with durability?

If you go with a Sirio get the new Kanai version. I saw one yesterday and it had plenty down low. The guy who was running it said he is very pleased with it. He said it does flatten out on the top though. Almost a gallon through it and no problems with the engine.

Thanks for the info. I am thinking of sending the OS back and getting the Sirio.

I run a Sirio mill in my buggy. It is not the Kani Edition but I love it non the less. It performs all day long and is easy for me to tune. Only problems it has is having too much compression. It is a starter box killer! I took 2 out with it this weekend alone. The engine will not turn over even on the heavy duty Ofna boxes without having the glow plug loose.

I have owned 2 Sirios, the 18 and the 27. Both are/were easy to tune and without any problems.

Ended up ordering the Rossi Black Magic. I think that it will be a better engine for the long haul. I don't race so I don't need a new engine every year, and I think that the Black Magic will last for a few years.
