Ok, has anyone out there had the Trinity sirio .12. It says it is a racing engine rated at 1.8 hp @39,000. Tower Hobies has it for $159. I am curious as to the reliability of it and the tunability of it? Also if anyone has had it how does it compare to the OS 12tr (p) and OS 12tr? Thanks guys

I have one but haven't broken it in yet.I race a guy with an OS 12 tr turbo and my Rossi Pixi Black is faster.I was told the Rossi is as good as the Sirio. So I'll have to wait and see how the Sirio compares to the OS.I'll keep you posted.

I was looking the same direction myself I have owned a couple of Sirio's and they are nothing but impressive in my experience.

Anyway ensure you get the EVO 2 if you get one, the black head version needs a new carb (nova carb works nice).

Actually talking with a cuople racers down in the bay area and they really like the Sirio .12 (black head version) and have had no problems for an entire season. The carb was updated over a year ago and has not been a problem since in my understanding. everyone has a different experience though. What exactly was wrong with your carb and did you ever ask Trinity to warranty it?

After some use the carb starts leaking, apparently well known problem in the Sirio thread on rctech. The EVO 2 has fixed carb apparently, also more power :)

I didn't ask Trinity anything as I am not in the USA they had nothing to do with it :) I just did what others on forum doing, using novarossi carb.

Engine I have is the pro version, ACC (cost me $120 or $130 from memory)

Sirio .12 is made by http://www.star-motor.com

Here is info on evo2, well photos anyway I can't read it hehehe

note: I think only new evo2 pro has blue head and normal evo2 still has black, you can tell from part numbers anyway, info is in that thread..

I read 2 people that had a problem there, just don't think its an epidemic as I know the local racers here love that engine (TRP Pro) anyways this will get us nowhere as everyone has a different experience. I know if you over tighen your carb when you install it you will cause a leak with any engine, maybe manufacturer defect, maybe user error who knows. The problem is just not happening in my local.

Yeah everyone gets different milage with everything :)
Still good to shop for evo2 though just for the power increase regardles of carb..
