My stepson wants a rc car and and would like input on what traxxax rc do u think would be great. Not to big and not too small either. More like a truck

If he is just starting out, i would start with one of the electric trucks like the stampede, or some of the monster jam replicas, then when he gets more into the hobby he can move up to brushless electric or nitro, the 2wd stampede is a blast to drive and is fast enough for beginners.

X2 these, I started on stampede & still learning. What a great truck to start on, & fast for newby as well. :)

i see those type of beginner trucks at race days all the time. they take a beating and go pretty good too.

+1 to all of the above. Another plus is that almost every hobby shop carries Traxxas parts and the parts aren't really outrageously expensive.

The thing is his father and I brought gas RC and he does not want a flux. Lol he turning 13 and he's a pretty responsible kid and very creative and a quick learner at that as well. Can u recommend any other transaxle brand? How about the traxxax nito sport or nitro
rustler

They are also good. The only real difference is the power source (nitro). One piece of advice is to get the a rechargeable receiver (RX) pack. Also look at the top of the motor and engine section for the sticky on breaking in the engine.

nitro is a lot of maintenance. if the car is left for several days without being used and the correct after run maintenance isnt done it will shorten the life of the motor. electric is a lot easier and means more time playing with it outside instead of inside maintaining it... ***generally***
