anyone useing this traxxas fuel. i have use it for about 2 years and i think its bad fuel. My friend used trinity monster brew for about 3 years in his revo and ran the crap out of it and that motor still runs like a champ and i had to rebuild my motor (P/S). and i always used traxxas. what do u guys use that have traxxas models?

i did too - switched ot o'donnell - i do find it wierd that the company that builds the cars makes a fuel that isn't too good for them....i have a 1/2 gallon sitting in my garage that i don't want to use...sucks...

I like top fuel could just be me tho? I used it in three diff mills and never had a problem with any of them. I have about 3/4s gal of trinity monster in the closet that I have been scared to use cause we think it did something to 2 of my friends mills but I am going to try it out I can't just throw it out.

I tend to feel more confident with a fuel that says like 16 percent oil. I like the term oil. ship me that monster brew stuff haha

I have used top fuel, omega III, byrons and odonnells and the best fuel i have used is the odonnells by a long shot, it runs sooo much better than any of the other ones and it doesn't have the super strong nitro smell like the other ones do

did u get longer motor life with this fuel?

The fuel isnt the main problem. some is better than others, yes..... but alot of it has to do with ur tune, care, maintinance and driving of a motor to really make a difference in rebuild time. Also, motors wear out. I had a 3.3 that messed up during break in, and I've had one that lasted 3 gal of top fuel and 3 gal of nitrotane with plenty of pinch left when i got rid of it.

I agree with Alpine as well, the way you break in your motor and keep it tuned has more of an impact on engine life than the fuel. Granted there are some better fuels than others, for instance I have never heard anything good about Blue Thunder, but I have heard good things about O'donnells, Byrons, and a few others. I prefer to use Byrons Race 20%, mainly because even when tuned right it still gives more smoke than the Traxxas Top Fuel I got when I bought my LST, I like to see plenty of smoke when its tuned right. Anyway I am a gallon and a half through my Axial with Byrons, and it is still makes me think I am gonna break the pull start when its cold.

I tune my trucks a lot. but always make sure that it never cuts out. maybe i should just say the heck with it and buy the cheap stuff

i was using top fuel thought the truck ran good till i switched to sidewinder with a cold plug ran sick fast this evening had to richin it way up that wierd because I'm at high altitude like 6 turns out on hsn runs at 280 I'm convinced top fuel sucks but thats my opion
