HOla,

To make a long story short I now have two sets of Traxxas big bore shocks. THe set I'm currently running on my Maxx and another set I bought from a friend. He used them for less then 30 minutes on road, he got in a wreck and smashed the front left side of his truck. He decided he wanted real piggy backs so he sold them to me. Of the 8 shocks all the pins are titanium nitride "coated" pins where straight as an arrow but one that was bent to hell (the one that obviously took the butt of the impact).

I still took the shocks apart to make sure the pins are staight and they all are. I replaced the pin that was bent to hell and now the shocks are like new. THeir's not one stratch on them. Traxxas charges a buttload ($10 for 2) for the coated pins so you'll get an extra one incase of an accident.

$50 FIRM SHipped (sweet deal) with an extra nitride coated pin, the orignal package, paper work and mounting hardware and shock spacers wrapped in the OG plastic. I will also add new Team Orion 70 wt (my favoite weight for all purpose) silicone shock oil @ your request.

EDIT - I'm also selling them with the shocks socks that look new as I've washed them. They never saw a dirt road but had some oil marks and now look brand new. These are high qualit Italian made and Scotch Guarded socks.

Peace

guess you really dont wanna sell them that bad?....pm me if interested

Hey Mike,

you've got a PM BRO...sorry but I didn't c the pm.

Recoil, If they don't go to Mike they'll still be for sale, I'm only selling the entire set.

Thanks

The Shocks are still for sale.....the complete set.

Thanks

If no one wants them by the end of the week, I guess I'll just give them away to a friend. Payment in Karma

Peace

I'll bump this one more time. I'm open to offers as long as it doesn't require me to bend over...lol.

Thanks

How much better over stock are these? I'm looking for alot better shocks and I'm thinking about spanding the $90-100 for piggybacks but this add caught my attention.

I do lotsa bashing and jumping btw.

Hey FST -

Honestly they're a a good improvement over the stock plastic shocks with pins that seem to bend if air hits them the wrong way (LOL). THe Titanium nitride coated shafts are much stronger then stock shock shafts but they can still bend if you run the car into a wall or something...lol. I don't have experience with piggybacks on a Monster Truck but I have run piggy backs on 1/8th scale buggies with good results. Opinions are like assholes and their's allot of them in this hobby. Some will tell you that PIggybacks are a huge hassle and leak ect and others will tell you they're great.

FYI..most of the winning RC racers that I know are either running the Threaded OFNA shocks (nice but quite pricey if your running 8 for bashing) or Traxxas big bore of something similar.

EDIT - I will also include a pair of Italian made red shock socks in excellent condition. IME these are some of the best if not the best socks on the market. Allot of the socks I've used over the years are utter crap. They also look bad ass on your maxx. I'm selling them because I'm now running the same socks in purple to match my purple truck

Peace

any pic's?

and let me think about this.. I want something I'm not gona regret buyin and say well Damm it , I should have bought better ones.

I do lotsa hard core bashing. I have a moto-x track in my back field and run the hell outa my maxx , mud, snow etc.. so I want the best I can get for it. but not something outragus priced. I have no problems spening $100-$140 bucks for some great shocks and springs.

Hey,

Honeslty dude.....I also bash the poop out of my Maxx. I'm not you and I don't know how your drive. I have the Big BOres (this set I'm selling is much nicer) on my Maxx now and I haven't had any problems with bent pins. They don't squeak assuming you PROPERLY fill them and get all of the air out of the bore. I always get mixed reviews amongst racers and hardcore rc buddies about Piggy Backs from Integy and other top companies. The purple Integy Piggy backs would look awesome on my truck but performance is much more important then looks and all the offerings from Integy seem to have crappy weak shocks pins (the weakest link on any shocks and the most frusterating thing).

THe more I research shocks on the net and talk to my bash buddies. The more I wanna get the Ofna threaded shocks like UE offers. My maxx is on it's way to being pretty bulletproof and I don't want anything less then the best (unless the price is rediculous). Most people I know that are running them are racers so they're only running four. If you have no problem spending $140 dollars on shocks then get the ones I'm talking about, the RacerXSuperShock kit from UE. THey're on sale right now too....A full set of 8 is going to run you $144.00+ shipping but each set it $18.00 off. If you do get them please tell him that NitroBoy from this forum sent ya...lol. They seem to have some strong ass shock pins and threaded shocks are awesome for making fine adjustments compared to plastic spacers. I think my honesty @ this point is pretty apparent. THe big bores are great but their's better out their if you have the money to spend.

Peace

Thanks. I been Pming with someone about the 1/8th buggy shocks and looking at em lastnight and desided on them. while BSing with a buddy at work.

Maybe my buddy gary will buy your shocks. I'll give him this link to check out.

Thanks for the Info though

That's me... question are the shocks all aluminum? That's more what I'm looking for at the moment. I'm not looking for a big shock upgrade......:lurk:

Hey Quick -

THE SHOCKS are SOLD pending funds.

FYI....Yes the Bore and the shock cap and teflon coated alluminum. THe pin is hardened stell with Titanium "nitride" coating as said. The bottom cap of the shocks are plastic like the stock plastic ones and most every shock on the market regardless of high or low cost is made with a plastic bottom "cap".

Peace
