Hey all I'm new to the site but not new to nitro. I have been running my slayer for a few months now and all of a sudden i am unable to get it running unless i basically hold the throttle wide open. And there is no power, if i take the air filter off to look into the carb while it is running there is a lot of fuel spitting out of the carb. I dont understand what is going on. this is the first time i have ever had a problem like this. If anyone has any infor or help i would be happy to take your advice or anything you have to offer. Thanks Adam

Sounds like you have a huge exhaust leak or you have worn the engine out already. Easy to do with the 3.3
Check the blue silicone pipe coupler for cracks, they split on the underside and it's hard to see. Check the header for cracks. Two very common problems. Any place you see excesss fuel or oil where it should not be is a good place to start looking. Replace your fuel lines, install a new plug. It may need to be leaned out some on the LSN due to the drastic temperature change we've had lately.
Never start an engine past 1/4 throttle, any more and you are flooding it and running the risk of damaging the engine.
other things, check the clutch and bearings out. They may have failed. Check the header bolts are tight.
If you need to replace the header, replace it with a spring mounted header and add a 1/10th header gasket. It will stop a lot of problems

I would check the HSN sounds like it is (maybe bad )damaged. any bad flipes without the body on ? our maybe just needs to be adjusted . check and see if it is loose.Just some sugestion (not an expert, just makes since to me Hsn controlls the flow of fuel.) good luck

Fuels getting in the carb but not being sucked into the engine. It's always a good idea to check that though.

That is a strange problem, fuel spitting out of the carb....hmmm.....I am not sure about this one. Carb bad/damaged maybe?

yea its getting some fuel to the motor and then still spitting a lot of it out. I have never sen anything like this. ill mess with it more tonight after work.

You did not leave a paper towel in the exhaust port or in the pipes' stinger by chance during your last maintenance.....don't ask. I know I'm not the only one.
Check for exhaust blockage, then there's one other thing that comes to mind.
Is the engine turning over in the right direction? Sounds like it could turning over backwards.

no paper towel and the engine turns over fine and in the correct direction. ill be messing with it tomorrow.

Are you sure its not just running horribly rich? The weathers' changing you know... Well it is where I live anyway....

..i have had this problem.. one thing to do is lean out the low speed needle.. that controls how much fuel goes to the carb..blow out ur muffler so there is no remaining fluid.. then when there is little to no gas coming out lean it with the high speed needle on the top just enough to if you slam on the throttle it doesn't gargle but there is faint colored smoke.. hope this helps
