I am completely new to this Nitro RC Stuff and I could use some help figuring out why when my engine comes back to idle does it cut out? I've been tinkering with it and it seems like I haven't a slightest clue of what i'm doing. I know I got the HSN set right.. nice blue smoke but not too much so I don't think i'm gonna hurt the engine but, I'm in the dark.. please hlp.

To get the engine to turn over, period I have to press on the throttl to open up the carb. So basically, if I keep the carb held open it stays on.... Also, I did the spit test and noticed the spit bubbed.. please help. dont think the engine is shot.. it's fairly new only a little bit of gas ran through.

I think your idle screw is set too loose(low idle) on the side of the carb opposite the low speed needle there is a screw. That adjusts how far the slide in the carb can go. The tighter the screw is, the higher the idle. To adjust: first turn both car and transmitter on. Then either put the brakes on or adjust throttle trim to zero, or both. What this does is makes sure the carb slide is pressed up against the screw. Now turn the screw clockwise (screw it in) a couple turns, maybe two for now and try and start it. if thats too high, turn it back out a bit until you get a good idle. Between adjustments make sure you do a couple runs up and down the street to clear out any left over fuel in the carb. Then its all about adjusting the idle to as low an idle as relyable. As low as you can before it cuts out. Hope this helps
