Soo heres a question for u revo experts.. Will a revo reverse transmission fit in a slayer 3.3? Last i though their chassis are reletivly close in size. Was curious if it would or if anyone tried it??

So is tere like a servo mixer like on the savage reverse unit? or would I need a reciever with more than 3 channnels? and isthereany spcal reverse linkage requied??

Yes you will need reverse linkage, mini servo, optidrive and receiver and throttle box for all of it to go into.

And 3 channel radio...

So I'm on ebay lookin for the parts... i can get a whole transmission with reverse from an RTR.. it comeswith the opti drive plug.. I can gethe opti driv really cheap.. so will I still need a servo for it? even with the opti drive an trans with reverse stuff installed?

There is also a machanical revrse upgrade for the revo available.. Says it comes with all hardware needed to add machanical reverse.. has the servo an everyting says just needs a 3 channel remote.. So if I do that will I still need opti drive?? and I hve the spektrum DX3s remote with the standard on board recievers for that remote.. So that remote should work. will I be good if I just get that kit and install it? would I still need reverse linkage?

you don't need the optidrive, but make sure your stopped when going from reverse to forward and vice versa...

The revo transmission will fit the slayer no problem, you will need to gear up due to the difference in gear ratios of the transmissions.

Alright so mechanical upgrade kit is just gears that go inside the trans.. So would I need to change the internal trans gears as well? Basicallly what I'm asking is id have to convert the whole truck to all revo gearing correct?

Yes, you would want the taller ratio internal gears to compensate for the smaller diameter slayer tires

Alright then. Ill grab a whole trans then from an rtr revo and go the opti drive route. Would seem easier.. Change it to a revo spur gear and should should i do a clutch bell too? And will i also still the mini servo if i go with the opti drive trans and opti drive unit?
