Recently rebuilt my Transmission on T-Maxx, because a while ago I had a friend tune the second speed screw in tranny hole. Well as i took apart my tranny, My screw was out of the hole and inside tranny locking up the second gear, so I was only running with a 1 speed, no wonder my truck was so slow. Anyway, i reset screw and everything works great now. Seems like a bran new engine in there. Anyway my question is, will the screw decide to back up on its own, or should it hold its place?

it should stay put. i bet your freind just loosened it a bit too much and it wiggled out

It should be just fine.
In the past I have never heard of a transmission screw on the Maxx coming out on its own.
