well my truck has a stock t-maxx 2.5 transmission in it and my throttle servo broke and i took my shifting servo and put as my throttle servo. i never use my reverse and was wondering if i needed the servo. it doesn't have a forward only spool.

oh man.. is that the micro servo, like in the revo?.. if so, thats not gona work.. it may be just anough to spin the carb, but you wont have any brakes.. there is a proper way to do the no reverse conversion.. I'm not too familuar with the maxx couse I've had the revo.. but i did not buy a kit.. you have to take out all the gears and linkage and put a spacer in the trans as well as block up the whole.. it will lighten up the trans alot.. so is it a full size servo?

i dont want a forward only conversion. I'm just wondering if it will slip out of gear without a servo.

if you dont have the mini servo in there i dont see how it could slip into reverse, if thats what your asking.

It won't go to reverse, but yes, there's the possibility of it coming out of gear. Just lock it in place with a spring or rubber band.
