Transmission question on a 3.3

I have a buddy that has a revo 3.3 and he keeps breaking the reverse gear in the tranny. Does anybody know why this keeps happing or any way to keep it from happening

Take it out and put in the forward only kit or the center diff kit.End of problem!

Reverse isnt meant for gunning it hardcore in reverse , and if you want it to stop stripping , get the foward only conversion , it will help alot to strengthen the tranny. It will save you the trouble of always changing the reverse gears also.

yeap, gotta go with the FOC. I never understood reverse in a race truck, seems to me kinda like putting cupholders in a sports car.

you wont win many races goin backwards anyway. go with FOC

Thats what i told him but he wants to keep reverse for some odd reason....do they make a stronger gear set
