transmission problems

I got a Traxxas T-maxx 2.5 and it wouldnt shift into second gear for awhile and then i was driving it around it just totaly died. the only thing that works is it will back up just fine. but when i put it in forward the mortor just revs up and nothing happens. i recently replace the gears inside for metal ones. Any help that would be great

check the slippery clutch and clutch,your clutch could be just broken or dirty.

i'm not sure but why would it move at all if the slipper clutch/clutch were bad. sounds like a pin in the trans come out or some sort of gear failure. any opinions?

i dont have reverse in mine but i looked up yesterday and wouldnt shift pulled my tranny apart and the grub screw in between my two gears came out and got jammed in my gears.
