My transmission wont shift, does anyone know what the problem could be. The servo works because it still shifts into reverse. I put a lock rear diff. spool on and it stripped my diff. gears, could it be the problem? Please help with some advice, I'm a newb.

ok, that doesn't involve the servo. More than likelyit's one of two things... tuning or the shift point. If your engine is not making a lot of revs you might try to lean out the high speed needle. If your tune is already good, you might try changing the shift point. Do you have the traxxas manual?

This looks to be helpful.

What is a longer shock that you can put on them other than stock? Or another way to make it sit higher?

Have you already maxxed out your ride height potential with spacers?

If you are looking for more ground clearance one thing you could do that will add substantial height is swapping out your standards sized wheels/tires for a set of 40 series wheels/tires. Standard size tires are about 5.5 in. diameter whereas 40 series tires are about 6.75 in dia. That's a 1.25 inch difference in diameter which will yield you over a half inch more ground clearance. It's going to be a little more expensive than a set of good shocks though. It will also give you more speed but sacrifice acceleration.

I have a set of proline moab 40 series 6.9" tires but it seems that you should be able to raise it a little more, if you disconnect the shocks the a arms still have more traveling room to go taller

OK, another option would be a set of shock towers that will give you more shock mounting options. Check out the towers that FastLane Machine makes for the TMaxx. They offer a crapload of mounting positions, many of which are much lower than the stock locations. Lowering the shock mount on the chassis (towers) will give you more ride height as well. However, you also want to keep in mind that the more you increase the maximum extend of the shock relative to the chassis you also increase the minimum as well. You just have to be careful that your shocks are tuned such that the shock won't blow due to the minimum extensions being much lower. You can add fuel tubing around the shock shaft just above the shock end to aid with this. It doesn't take much, maybe like 5 or 6mm. Just enough to slow down the travel enough to keep the cap from blowing.

I have the tmaxx 2.5 with a 3.3 motor, what would be the best upgrade for $50-$60? I have a rd logics twin pipe with dual stingers, hardbody roll cage, rpm true tack, rpm shock towers and body mounts, proline 40 series moab tires with axial 40 series oversized wheels, 18t clutchbell, 72t steel spur gear, hump pack for the reciever, wheelie bar, and braided fuel line. How do you post your pics on this site and I will post some.

If you don't already have aluminum bulkheads that is definitly your best hopup for well under $60. I suggest FastLane Machine. www.rc-monster.com is a good place to pick up FLM stuff.

I host my pics at www.photobucket.com
After you upload you will find they offer multiple types of links to use your image on the web. Copy the link that starts off

What about the transissions, are they geared different? Would it be smart to put a 3.3 transmission in?

I uploaded some pics, but now how do I post them.

I uploaded some pics, but now how do I post them.

first with picts
in Photobucket or w/e you are using copy the IMG code of the picture you want to put up. Then paste the link here.
Example of what it would look like: (IMG)http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w11/bjes32/TMaxx/P2050001.jpg(/IMG)

however you do not need to touch the link like i did. i changed it slightly so you can see what it would look like before you hit Post. if you do it right this is what you will get.

For the Tranny i figured i did not need the reverse that my 2.5 had too much and also the 3.3 tranny is lighter making it faster and its built stronger. the gearing is just about the same but i noticed that the truck did feel a bit more energetic with acceleration. However the install took some work.

here is where i put a few picts and talked about putting the tranny in a little bit more. if you want me to talk about the install some more just ask or PM me. I personally am happy with it.

I think you thread-jacked your own thread like 4 times! Glad your excited about your rig!
