Okay i have a 3.3 maxx and my tranny seems to be stuck in second. I tried adjusting the shift point screw, the slipper clutch and still nothing. The engine sounds like there's a load on it preventing it from revving to a higher RPM. Before i take the thing apart is there anything in paticular i should be looking for. Would like feed back and ur opinions. THANKS ! :\
 
do the wheels spin when you're trying to start it? if so, it may not be in the tranny. may need to check inside of the clutch bell to see if the shoes need replacing. if it still idles alright then i'd bust into that tranny to see what's going on. may have stripped a gear. it's not too bad to get into the tranny...
 
Nope no noises from the tranny at all. I'm going to get into that tranny tonight. Keep you posted on what i see.
 
no noises no strip i will tell you that. i fried my reverse primary gear in 8 tanks and it clunked like hell
 
AHHHA I found out what happen. It ended up being my clutch bell was toast. LOL. Also my hub was not engaging.
