Transmission case

Okay I got a used Savage.. been play with it for a while... i notice by that the transmission case has a plug that covers 2 holes... do I have fill that or something??? I never got the manual so I dunno.. plus what are some tips for the savage??

okay... i think that might be where the 2 speed set up is.. errr

Yup you got it.. It's the advance and retart set screw for the 2 speed

when you take off the plug look in the hole on the right. spin the spur gear around untill you see a hole it in. there will be a silver piece behind it. now work the spur gear back and forth until you see a 3 mm set screw. there will be two of them. use the one on the bottom to set your shift point. honestly if you are happy with its shifts then leave it alone.
