Hey guys, got a problem shifting into reverse. It act as though the shaft hooked to the servo is stuck or sticky. I can pull it out and its in reverse but the servo can't push it back in, just compresses the spring. Any ideas what could be the problem? it worked b4 it was parked a year ago. Thanks in advance.

i would do the same but not mine. its his first truck and wants reverse. I adjusted it up alot farther than it was but doesn't wanna pull; the shaft out. U can feel it is sticking or something when u do it manually. I'm thinking it has something to do with sitting,is there something right in there that could rust up a lil or corode or something?

could anyone set me up with a link to a eploded view of the trans for this 2.5 tmaxx?

could be weak servo, low bats. just a thought .start smiple and work your way up to the not so obviouse.

batterys are new, servo seems strong. Like i said u can pull it out by hand but it takes alot of force

You need to take the trans out and look inside. the shaft that the forward and reverse gears ride on probably has some rust on it preventing the gears to slide its an easy fix traxxas web site has all the exploded views on pdf

So i took the trans out and apart today. Didnt see anything wrong.Put a little grease on it and put back together. Seems to be workin fine.My first work on a tmaxx. seems pretty simple. Thanks for the help.

well I'm back to square one. Shaft pulls out fine but still no reverse:( dont see how it wouldnt work, shaft pulls the fork and pushes the gear out but its not coopertaing? Any more suggestions?

I am 100% sure ur idle is to high it happens to me check ur idle turn it down and see what happens
