i got my tmaxx today and the guy said the only thing that was wrong with it is that when you spin the wheels the spur doesn't move, and if you spin the spur the wheels dont move,
does anyone know what the problem might be?

wow i forgot.
i really dont know where the slipper clutch is..
is there anyone someone can let me know?
or is there a diagram anywhere

The slipper is on the spur gear. Thats the BIG gear that drives into the tranny. And between the gear and the tranny you'll see 2 alloy pieces. Thats the clutch. The spur gear has a Ny loc nut on it. Just tighten the nut a little. How much is a matter of opinion, some guys go all the way. Go, say 1 full turn, and see how it goes. Nothing has to be removed so its a 6 second job.

did u make sure the clutch wasn't turning when u did that usually u have to hold the clutch with your finger while ur turning

Well i took the whole spur gear and everything off,
and every time i spin the little rod thing,
the wheels still dont move.

gosh man
i wonder if i need to buy a new tranny..
anyone know

Have you had it running yet? Spur gear shouldn't turn when you spin the wheels unless you have a FOC conversion to my understanding. There are more centrifugal clutches inside of the trans that have to be overcome by rpm.

not yet...
but when i turn the spur gear usually its supposed to move the axels..

fasta$$tmaxx is right ull have to spin the spur pretty darn fast to engage the tranny... i test mine with a dremel tool useing a small buffing wheel .

so, should i put my engine on and give it a little throttle and then see?

Yep, unless you can spin the spur fast enough to engage it without the motor, like i said i check mine with a dremel tool and a small buffing wheel and just let it act like a gear and spin it up. Whatever way you do it i hope it works.

so therefor when i spin the spur gear, it shouldnt spin the wheels until its going fast enough?
