Got my clutch springs fixed now the truck is having a hard time shifting (not hearing shifts), I can't tell if its stuck in 1st or 2nd because it still takes off the line pretty fast with a tightened slipperclutch but the engine sounds like its reving high which makes me think stuck in 1st gear but it still tops out at 40mph which makes me question that? Maybe a tuning problem, I've adjusted the shift timing early by 1/8 turn. Afraid to over adjust it because as we all know if the screw falls out thats a major tranny overhaul.

Any Suggestions

You've already tried your clutch adjustment for a quicker (lower) shift point, try to slowly tune it to run a little richer, HSN adjustment....If you're running a little to lean you won't hit your shift points, at least my two speed tranny's are tempermental when I'm running a little too lean, you'll know when Ya hit the "sweet spot"...Good luck and hopes this helps Ya..

Thats a strange one..
If its still taking off fast then i would think its not NOT stuck in second...
But then you say it tops out at 40mph which makes me think its changing gears and NOT stuck in first...

What engine have u got...?? 2.5, 3.3 or an upgrade..??

+1 on taking the tranny apart and checking the gears...

If its not that at least thats 1 possibility down...

Guess it was a tuning problem, after resetting my high speed 4 turns out it runs perfect now.
