Hello everybody we just finished up our track its 80 by 56 feet we used fill dirt to make the track about 4 inch deep when we run on it it just wants to break up we have to continue to sweep it before we drive on it i was wondering if anyone has ever sprayed their track with something to keep from breakin up if so what and how much did it cost thanks for any help

is it clay mix or just dirt?
If it's clay you can spray some chemical on it...I can't think of hte name now.....brain fart...chloride or some poop makes it hard but you can over do it......if it's dirt you just need to pack it real tight.....

yea its just fill dirt should we wet it then rent a packer machine? and what if we just spray it with something to make it hard will it last?

i would wet it and pack it.. but i think it will eventually pack itself just water it like yo do the lawn and it will eventualy settel in the local track waters theres..

if you can I'd pack it..if you let it settle in naturally you'll get uneven dips and ruts in the track

Wet it and pack it. You should be able to get a tamper for about $50 a day from somewhere like Nations Rent. You could get a hand tamper and build strong arms and upper body but you'd probably want to quit after a week!
