We are in the process of sourcing materials for our track and was hoping you had any suggestions what materials we could use to mark the track out with and where we could source it from.

Probably the most popular used item for layout is 4 inch perferated drainage pipe available from most any home center, lumber yard, plumbing and well supply companies. Its easy to handle. Its light weight and flexable. For ease, most peeps use 12 inch spikes and drive them threw the pipe and into the ground. The perf pipe can be used on straights or you could also use regular 4 inch drain pipe with bell ends for straightaways. All the above can be purchased for relitively low money. I would just avoid whats called Schedueled 40 pipe. Its alot more expensive.

I've seen some tracks layed out with a bright yellow flex pipe, but not sure where that can be sourced.

This is perferated coregated pipe. It comes in 100 foot rolls.

This is what solid pipe with bell ends looks like. Its usually can be found in white and either solid or perferated.

Any of these can be found at a Lowes or Home Depot and the like. But I would price it around at different places for the best price.

Thank you very much for your help your advice will definitely be considered. We are trying to get funding from local businesses and sponsor to purchase track liners as this is the only materials we are going to need.
