My local track retains moisture at one corner.. I've heard that mixing the clay with a "Calcium" product will make the clay harder and not retain so much moisture. Has any heard of this or any other tricks ?

Thanks

Thanks, I think they plan just to plow it in. Any suggetions

If the track is not properly drained, no amount of calcium will help. Last year when we started building our track on corner was still flooded. In the fall we laid so much drainage in the area that by this spring, it was the driest part of the track.

We recently finished digging drainage ditches, laid down pipe and covered them with golf ball sized stones, and clay.

We use rock salt and calcium. Terrible for bearings but our track soaks up water like a sponge and turns rock hard.
