The Redcat Tornado isn't too shabby for an inexpensive buggy but for not too much more you should look at their Hurricane which is a better quality/race viable rig.
Ever since Redcat changed manufacturing lines this past January, they've gone up several notches in quality/value. They're about par with the OFNA Hyper 7 in price/quality which is another option at that price range.
