Hey guys my dad and I are trying to come up with a way to have our topper's lifted of the truck and sitting above them in the garage. We want it to look clean and easy to take the topper's on and off the trucks. But yet still be pretty cheep with the whole thing. We have though about just 2 2by4's and chains but we want it to be cleaner then that.

If you have idea's that would be great because we can't figger anything out, all we could think of is the 2by4 option and that doesn't look so clean and isnt that easy to use.

Thanks guys

Clean looking you say alright here goes. Use cables not chains and use four hooks not 2X4 that way you can unhook or hook one at a time now onto lifting power you can go cheap with a hand crank from an old boat trailer mount on a side wall out of sight or you could buy a small winch, size to fit the weight you need to lift. And if you don't like the hook idea you could use steel bar or steel square tubing.

I would use 2 tiedowns so it don't scratch the topper and use the boat winch to get it up. Use some claps on the inside of the topped to hold the straps so the don’t shift. Mount the winch back some and use I bolts and run the cable through them to the straps. Sound redneck but it should work. I'm lucky and my topper fits under my deck but the do suck putting them on and off. Good thing it only happens when I do on vacation.
