Top Engines ?

Anyone use or like the Top/Novarossi engines thinking about putting one in my R40 they cost around 229 at my lhs, its a .12 5Port turbo head any suggestions.

i hear that almost any novarossi engine is about as good as you'll get.

What about Picco there new .12Turbo anything?

I got the second from the top novarossi. NS12S3 1.52@41k

If you spend a bit more you can get the NS12S5 which I think is rated at 1.6hp


I personally don't find them THAT hard to tune. Just takes a little time. Also, the powerband on them hits really low so it's excellent for race tracks.

They do have mass torque too...I can do about a 5-10ft. peelout with my 4wd ntc3

I just picked up the Picco XP12RE . 12 with turbo head supposed to be a strong motor, gonna install it on my R40 i'll let you guys know how it goes if anyone is interested. Was gonna buy the RB Concepts for 229, but the Picco was 99 bucks, can't beat that, hopefully....
