great choice. the scorpion is a solid platform and with a few drivetrain upgrades, its a beast. i could stall out my novak Goat when i bound up the drivetrain. (insert novak goat system blows comment here)

Here it is. Up and running. That 55 turn is a real animal. Absolutely incredible low end.

Right now I have the battery mounted below the plate to lower the CG.

I wouldn't THINK of putting it on a shelf. There's DUST on the tires.
In the past it was always about speed. I can't believe how enjoyable this thing is when you can climb obstacles while barely moving.
Now I'm headed back to the LHS for some variety in lids for it.

good job rolex.

Hey those pics are staged,we're not fooled by the green carpet & the picture of the landscape!! We need "REAL" outdoor pics!! LOL!!!

I just had it outdoors. I took it with me to HobbyTown. I actually got it up to almost 75 on I-40, but on the store floor it moved pretty slow.
I got the Hitec 645 for the steering servo, and a Deans connector to the speed control so I can run my 5000 batts in it.

yeah that servo is good and should last you forever!!!

Did the complete re-work on it last night and here's the finished project:

Hitec 645 steering servo and a servo saver.

Had to do some cutting and grinding, but I added a heat sink.

Here's the final setup, with the battery mounted UNDER the tray to lower the CG.

Battery not mounted here, but I also added a Deans connector to use my 5000s.

The Power Wagon is the show lid. You'll have to wait till I set up the beater lid.
You don't want to see it dirty and outside, do you?
