I just put my maxx back together after it decided to eat a pole and I was curious if there is an easy way to adjust the front end other than just going by sight. I know if its slightly off it will be unstable and I dont want anymore accident :hammer:

I use a very sophisticated system to set the toe and camber. Eyeballing.
Do it from enough angles, including standing above it from the front and back, and you'll get it right.

Thinking about Rolex hurling is going to make me hurl...

Jesse, let us know how it runs. You said it was a .15 Maxx. Should be broken in real good by now. If the earlier tuning by Rolex worked, it should have good power by now.

Yeah I was really having fun with it before it took off. I was driving it in a empty dirt lot and when I would hit the throttle it was spinning the tires like crazy and throwing dirt everywhere. I'm going tomorrow to get all new batteries so I can run it, I took care of my sick son today so never got out to get some.

If you have a problem getting the engine started, I'm gonna hurl.

Rolex if it doesn't start. I think I'm also going to :puke: then I'm going to go and get :trashed:

Get the RPM guage. It's cheap and will save you a lot of headaches as well. For the camber, align it with the wheel nut and adjust till the tire matches the angle. Do the same for the toe but stand the truck on it's bumper. When doing it to the front axle, make sure your rx/tx are on and are at the settings you like before adjsuting.

Thanks for the imput I diddnt even think of doing it with rx/tx on makes sense though It might have been going in circles on me :jk: I will do that before I run it thanks

I broke a front A arm a while back and decided to upgrade to RPM. I have had toe in/ camber problems ever since. I tried eyeballing it with my radio on. Looks perfect but it is pretty bad when i get going at higher speeds. It oversteers like crazy when i hit a turn. When i asked my LHS they said dont bother with the RPM guage. They said its too confusing to use, and u might as well eyeball it. I've never tried one but i think i may get one anyways. Are they really hard to use, or dont they know what they were talking about?

Cobra, in addition to the other suggestions, once you think you have the front wheels pointing straight when the Rx and Tx are on, try putting a little toe-out in the front, about 1 degree, and a little toe-in in the rear, again, about 1 degree. Should improve your straight line and still give you good turn in without oversteer. If you camber is off, though, then toe-out in the front will make high speed straight line handling dicey. Your camber should be 0.
