to support or not to support? that is the question.. so I'm big on supporting our rc vendors. i like to buy from one guy and only one guy. i support the couse, the site and only speak in positive tone about them at all times. and sometimes i get free stuff. I'm looking into purchasing something and have stated that I'm GOING to purchase it, but something better came up somwhere else(the same product) it going to save me a few bucks and has some extras and is nip. should i feel obligated to stick to my original thoughts and by from "my guy" or should i save some shells, continue my build and support the ones i believe in with out feeling guilty of not making a "larger" purchase from them.. just a thought

That is a tough call. If the guy had to order in what you wanted then you should consider that a verbal deal. If it is a stock item and you are getting a deal elsewhere (by that I mean saving 5% or more) then take the deal.

no. its not a special order or anything. its just that ide be getting a free pipe and some other deals if i buy next week. but i started a thread and said i was buying this from him, and he said ok. I've got a few hear for ya, then I'm going to go and buy from "billy-smack-but" just to save some shells, when my first buddy is always really good to me. but i'll be saving almost $200!. so were is my loyalty? to my wallet or to my rc car god?

I would ask your guy if he could match it if it's the exact same item. If not then I'm sorry but for $200, I'd have to do it.

+1 to that.

For the record, you are not being cheap by saving $200. You are being smart.

The only person you owe anything to is yourself! If you can buy the same thing from a reputable place for a better price it is my opinion that you owe it to yourself to save some money.

but even if my guy is offering me free stuff to try out or throwing extra goodies in the box? i mean he hooks me up. but then i run to the compition come the first sale.. but its a HUGE sale. i mean I'm not silly. but i just feel like i should be more loyal.. or not?

I would agree on asking him if he can match the price. Loyalty is a great thing, but 200 smackers is a WHOLE lot of cash. With that much riding on it you need to be loyal to your bank account.

i wouldent really ask him to match the price if he is giving you some goodies just see if he will drop the price and you will still be loyal. plus you can always sell the goodies if you wanted

GUYS.. thanx for your opinions. I've decided I'm just going to go with the sale thats running. its more then $200 savings($269) and i can flip that cash and get the mill i would normally never be able to afford. thanx for the words of wisdom. i'll post up my build thread over here so you guys can see what it is I'm talking about.. peace

The only thing I would add to this is, In the long run will you save more money by staying loyal to the guy you normally buy from, because if not then by all means save the $269 dollars, but I would at least ask the guy you normally deal with if he would match the deal, and like already stated if he can't I am sure he can understand saving that kind of money is a good reason to get it some where else, and at least you gave him a chance to match the other deal...

+1 to that.

+1 with that as well. Supporting the site is always greatly appreciated but seriously there is no reason going broke doing it.

BTW - thanks for shopping with our vendors!
