  1. Bashing
I bought a t maxx with a megatech .16 and it rips pretty good, problem is i keep breaking rear half shafts. I just bought the new traxxas with the part no that ends in X supposed to be a little stronger. there is a spool in the rear and i bash it pretty hard. i have the stock diff i was going to put it in. I wanted to know if putting in the old diff will solve the problem ( i have never driven it with the reg diff had the spool in it when i bought it) or if just letting up on the slipper will solve the problem. I dont want to sacrafice acceleration if i dont have to. thanks

One word "MIP" I went through more half shafts on my E Maxx before and after adding my spool, it made no difference, it is just a weak point in the Maxx trucks, get your self some MIP CVD's, it solved my problems.....

the spool with definitly cause you to break more shafts. do you have the smaller shafts or the revo size 3.3 spec ones? unless you are pulling or running in very loose dirt, i would take the spool out. your truck will handle a lot better.

you need the revo spec stuff at least. get metal if you can

I had a spool and I shelled the transmission the second I touched hard pack dirt.....I don't recommend them unless you only drive in a straight line.
