Been spending allot of time looking at the Savy XL 4.6 at the LHS. I still have the Savy 25 that I bought from here, but I'm really unsure if I want to upgrade or not. The LHS is asking $460 and wont do a trade in. Is the 4.6 that much better? My current Savy 25 is running a OS 30VG with racing steel spur/bell upgrade, 3 speed tranny and other small misc. upgrades.

What would you do?

i m pretty new, but jsut gut my used savvy x ss 4.6 and took it out for the first time since a while, the thing fired up after 10 - 15 pulls and runs great, easy to do wheelies even on wet road :)
i love the x ss 4.6 and i wont get a different mt for now.
just my two cents :)

Thanks for the feedback. I'm actually trying to tone down the wheelies though. I've had the 25 on it's lid more times this week than i can count. If i do decide to keep the 25, I think I'm going to have to experiment with the suspention. I'm really liking the perfomance of the 30VG, but tearing up my lid something horrible. Is the 4.6 more torque or power?

well i think the .25 you have is hopped up pretty well, the only advantage i see with the XL is its suspension and you could get that with big bore shocks easily.

really havent driven the 25 yet, but i can tell you its pretty strong if i consider this thing against a revo i saw yesterday that had a os 18 on it, this one prolly rip it apart, but i m not too sure since I'm still new to the nitro scene :)

Hmmm. I didnt think about big bores. Any other advantages to the XL 4.6?

Keep the S25, get the X conversion kit.

The only good thing that they did on the X was the lowered COG, and EZ Access cases. That's basically what I see.

have a link for the kit by chance? I'm searching Amian and not seeing it listed. Thanks.

I believe these kits are discontinued too, that's why it's not on A-Main. Best to grab one now before they're all gone. I recommend not using the dual slipper clutch, because I heard those are pretty bad and that keeping the old one is best. Now if I were you, just buy the TVP's, cam-style steering, and radio box. My reason why is that there are a lot of complaints on the dual slipper having some design problems and the new EZ access center gear case loosening up and messing up the gear mesh inside. I also don't believe that steel spur gears work, since if you mess that up it'll end up moving down the tranny line.

Thanks a bunch, and Cheaper than I thought it would be. Would give me a good reason to do a full tear down also.

If you want more power and speed, the X and XL are it,I have both, you can put all the up-grades you want on a 25 but it won't even come close.
