i have a revo 2.5 which i converted to 3.3 than to a full blow race truck but i keep blowing out the pinion gear should i back the spur off some
 
I have a picco in my revo, and haven't had any trouble at all. What gear is it you are blowing out? I didn't do anything to my tranny except for forward only/center diff/rear brake. All other gears are stock,and we play pretty hard.
 
o.k. I also run a hardened spur/clutchbell combo from robinson racing. I wasn't sure what gear he was talking about. If running a steel spur gear, I know from expirience that you have to upgrade clutchbell or it will eat them up.
