Adjusting the idle screw has nothing to do with the adjustment of the linkages when changing from 70/30 to 50/50…or vice versa.
Once the idle gap is set with the idle screw, it is set. The linkages need to be adjusted to compensate and return the slide valve to the idle gap.
With the selector in 50/50 position - Remove throttle horn from servo, turn all electronics on and adjust the throttle trim to 0 on the radio, then re-attached the throttle horn while electronics are on, the linkage rod from the throttle horn to the bell crank post will be the main adjustment but the rod from the bellcrank post to the throttle arm on the carb and even the angle of the carb sometimes may or may not need to be adjusted to set up the linkages for 50/50.
Its best to loosen all linkage collars (throttle and brake), re-center the servo/horn and then adjust the linkages from scratch. Adjust the throttle linkages 1st to get full throttle when full trigger is applied and a return of the carb slide vale to the idle gap when no trigger input is applied. Then you can adjust the brake linkage.
