Hey all. I am having a problem with my tmax trans I think. Runs great but wont move. Not sure if the spur gear is to lose or tight. Not sure whats going on. I took the trans apart all gears are in good shape and mesh well. Maybe a clutch problem? I'm not sure. My gear mesh between the motor and spurgear was off I ate thru 2 spur gears in a hr but thats good now. Any help would be good thanks

your clutch bell clutch shoes or the spring in there.. that is the gear on the engine that mesh's up with the spur gear... is this a used maxx?? and which model is it?? is it the 2.5 or the 3.3 with grey or black tranny??

I have had it for a while. Its the 2.5 with mods has the black tranny. I took the spur gear apart and cleaned the friction plates. I will run it to see if that fixes the problem. Also I have a lst do you know anything about them?

I dont about the lst myself.

I found a part that helps from stripping out the holes in the bottom of the tranny so you dont ever end up with a loose tranny cause if your tranny even has 1 loose bolt it gets a slight shimmy and there goes spur gears.. I went through it before and now I have these in all my black tranny's

these are a life savor!!!!!!

you just driil out your holes alittle bigger and push these in and then bolt tranny back on the chassis and all done and no worries!!!
