Really nobody wants to check out my video? Its not really a video as much as an audio file haha

yeah it is an audio file for sure. It is so dark you can only see the truck every now and then. Day time videos are much better.

I will put a pic on of the probe now. I just wanted to show that i got it to run right. Does it sound good?

It's really hard to see or hear anything in that vid. However, i've noticed with my 2.5 t-maxx I have to slightly readjust the needles after big jumps or wrecks. Maybe this is the case for you? I've heard the 2.5 doesn't hold a tune well.

Well no it doesn't seem like it. I just wanna know if its tuned right. I have to strap down the tranny and I think i'm good. Does it sound good?

To my newbie ears it sounds like the lsn needle is a little rich. But i'm a newbie and could very easily be wrong....

Hey, your probe is still a bit off. Probes are fine aslong as they are in the right position. Try putting it more to the left (right between the ez-start motor and engine at the same slot its in now. You should get a correct reading then since it wont be touching the exhaust piece know what i mean?

By the way... what happened to ur cooling head? Looks like its got a chunk bitten out of it!

Yeah i get it. so it is where the combustion happens? is that where it goes? Also it is starting to spin the ez start motor and not the engine. You know what I mean? Well I think the roler clutch or one way bearing (same thing) is dirty, is that correct?

Ya just put it by the ez-start motor, use a screw driver to push it if u have to. Level with the top of the exhause output just like it is. I got a correct reading from there, no need for a temp gun.

Was part of ur cooling head cut out? Wouldnt that make it run hotter?

I have no idea, I think they come like that don't they? Thats where he had the probe.

No... Well not one that I've ever seen unless urs in a custom cooling head.... Sure looks like a stock one thats been cut up to me! Should be coils all the way around evenly. Reposition ur probe and tell me if it runs between 206-240degrees after about 4-5mins. It should be a bit hotter since it wont be reading of the pipe maybe... I feel like takin a video of mine tomorrow and showing u guys :)

ok well its 11 at night here so not until tomorrow. Also I have about a tank of fuel left so I may only be able to test temps. Sunday I am getting more fuel. maybe tomorrow. I forgot no work tomorrow . weekend yay. I checked the head and it looks custom. There aren't any tool marks that I can see. It wasn't cut with a grinder or something like that. It looks pretty professional. It is cut just above the gp so maybe that is for the wire. there is no gaurd so it makes sense.

My t-maxx seems to like to run around 260-275. I'm next to the ocean where it's always cool and humid, don't forget what effect your elevation and climate can have when you look for the proper temperature. Thats right Flander, today is friday YESSSSSS.................AWESOME...............

Ok well its like 1500 feet here and i think I got it tuned, what do you think?

Does it sound tuned? anybody?

really?

A little hard to tell since you're running on a rough surface, but if it takes off good, shifts into second, doesn't stall at idle and hits a decent top speed, what more could you want?
Seriously, get a temp gun. They usually run great when they're dangerously lean. You can't tune by temp, but it's the only way to keep your engine safe.
