tmaxx whine!

i have a tmaxx 3.3, and i replaced the slipper clutch, the cluth itself and the spur gear. it was whining before all that was replaced, and now it still does it. its somewhat of a medium to high whine like it wants to go faster but it struggles. any help is appreciated

is it an older tmaxx converted to slide carb??

check the throttle linkage where it comes off the pole to the carb mine was loose and hitting the spur causing it to whine

well i bought it used from ebay how could i tell if it was an older tmax or a 2.5?? thanx

what color are the bulk heads or chassis braces black or gray? or tranny?

the tranny, bulk heads, and braces are all grey.

is it shifting into second gear?

yea it shifts to 2nd, a little early but it does. i swapped engines with my jato 3.3 and the engine off tha jato doesn't do that wining. what in the engine could cause that? its got a new clutch and the bell housing is fine? thanks again for all ya'lls help!!

maybe it just needs a tune up
