So I am building a 2 wheel drive wheelie machine / dragster from Tmaxx parts.

I am thinking I want to put either bigger tires in the back..... or smaller tires in the front .... or BOTH.

I have a set of 5.75 x 3.5 - 3.8 rism and tires now.

SO I was thinking buy the newer tmaxx 6.3 tires for the back.... should increase top speed also.

Was also thinking of replacing front wheels w smaller ones just to look cool.......Anybody ever doen this? what will fit... what do you recomend.

Remember its TWO WHEEL DRIVE.

Just outta curiosity, how is the best way to make it 2wd. Should I just disconnect the driveline from the brake to the front diff? I've been wanting to do the same idea

The quikest easyest way is to take the front drive shaft off the front diff. Ya gotta leave the "nub" on the front of the tarnny so the brakes will work. This requires prying the driveshaft apart.

Using that method, its easily reversed, meaning put the shaft back.... and its 4x4 again.

If your doing it permanent....... loose the front dif, loost the front axles ( gotta leave the "nubs" to hold the wheels on, so more prying apart drive shafts involved)

All that greatly reduces weight. = faster and better wheelies.

see the nubs ?

I know its a lot of aluminum for a dragster.... remember I am making this out of SPARE PARTS!!

Alum bulks, alum A-arms, alum cross brace, alum gas tank, alum diff with a spool, steel driveshafts x3, forward only conversion, hypo servos, hypo shocks, I have a NEW 3.3 without a home yet LOL. But I think I am going w the 2.5r ( I have a few of them used.)

I need wheels, screws and TIME.

How did you remove the silver pins in the drive shaft? I am trying to do the same thing, but haven't been able to get them out!

the pins are solid. Ya gotta bend the plastic over em. Pliars and a screwdriver. Try not to stab yourself in the leg.

Thanks man! Is it harder to get then back on? I am trying to turn my tmaxx into a wheelie monster, but I will change it back after I get sick of flipping all the time... Lol
