Another big factor is how well the engine was broken in from new and how well tuned it is afterward. A bad beak-in will rob a lot of power from an engine.
I have a 10 year old 4910 2.5 Tmaxx with a 2.5r engine installed in it. It will not pull a full wheelie but coming out of a corner will pull a front wheel off the ground these days.
Brand new out of the box 10 years ago it would lift the front end off the ground but just barely but I have it geared more for speed these days. Supposed if I were to drop a smaller clutch gear and larger spur gear into it again I could probably pull the whole front end off the ground but it would not stand up on end or flip over.
