Hello, i'm new to the RC world and just got a new Tmaxx 2.5. I would like to waterproof the truck so maybe I could run it in snow. Could anyone give me some tips on what I need to purchase? Thanks

Nice to hear another hobbyist not willing to let winter season ruin the day hehehe. Take it easy on your new Tmaxx, if its brand spanking new, winter may be a difficult season for it especially when you need to do a new engine break-in. As for waterproofing your truck, some users take care of the servos by dipping them in plasti dip (found at home depot, lowe's). others put the electronics in a small balloon, or if you have some silicone caulk laying around, you can also use that. I even read some user just applied a nail polish on the servos where you think water will come in. For more information about this, use the search function in this forum, type in plasti dip, and you will have tons of ideas. Good luck and enjoy your Tmaxx.
I prefer sealing the servo case seams, battery and rx box with rtv. Looks a lot cleaner than plasti dip. Plasti dip can dry and crack over time too, allowing moisture in. I've seen it work well though. Just makes your servos look like there chocolate dipped. Servos need a little grease dabbed around the horn and on the horn screw as well.
Get waterproof servos from traxxas. And their are a number of things you can do to waterproof your reciver box i just did silicone and sealed it shut since i didnt need to get intheir. thats as easy as i could come up with on mine never hurt a thing. Go for it and have fun.
