tmaxx shock question,,???????

ok heres what i got
bought 4 MIP shock bodies (direct replacement) for the stock ultra shocks
and i bought traxxas #2667 direct replacement shock caps for the plastic shocks

i can not get the aluminum caps to thread on to the MIP bodies
i tried the stock plastic caps on the mip bodies go on fine same with the plastic bodies and the aluminum caps thread on fine
BUT the aluminum caps will not thread onto the MIP shock bodies,
they start but i do not want to force them for fear of screwing them up
could it be posible that the chroming has built the threads up and just need cleaned or what??
i do not want to force anything till i am ceretian they are going to work ,,

Sounds like there may be some different threading, but there shouldnt be, so you might need to take a dremel with a wire brush on it and brush the threads. Or i might be wrong, and someone can think of another solution, who knows.... lol

try rubbing a small amount of shock oil on the threads.....if that don't work try a steel brush on them...if that don't work...YOU'RE SCREWED

I'd call Traxxas. They have a great support line and maybe this is something they need to know about as well.

thanx revo but i did that earlier and they told me to call MIP and see what they said well too late to call now and another i can not find a 1-800 number for them nor can i find a email address to even emial them ,

so i guess i am screwed for now
