i think I'm flooding my carb and the truck seems to be running to rich. anyone know the factory settings for the 2.5trx??

High speed needle 4 turns out from closed. Low speed needle is 1.5 to 1.75 turns out from closed.

not sure guys i got this truck used and was just messing with it but fuel seems to be filling the carb up so idk wtf to do i was thinking of upgrading to the 3.3

It could be the hsn needle has a bad o ring and letting fuel pour into the carb. was it running when you bought it? If so how well? Most times when you buy one of these things used it's a good idea to consider that the motor is shot. However if it was running pretty good when you bought it and want to save a little money you may consider replacing the carb first. Or if you have them cash and just wanna upgrade then the 3.3 is a good option

A bad o-ring on the hsn will cause fuel to spill out of the banjo fitting, not into the carb. Sounds like it's just flooded real bad. Clear it out, set the hsn to 3 1/2 turns out, the lsn to 1 1/2 and it should start. Get the engine cranking with the ignitor on it, then prime. That will lessen the chances of flooding.
