Ok i got it all back together runs great i had all ready broken in the os 15 cv take it out run outrageously fast no the problem after about 45 mins it would just sit there rev up i tried adjusting the carb rich or lean to no avail..

its got new spur gear, new clutch, new motor, just went though and greased everything cleaned etc etc what ya think still carb prob?

I would be out fooling with it not but its raining and lightining so thats no go had to come in

Also doesn't like to shift into reverse done that since I've had truck though. Any tips

Reverse on the Maxx is problematic like that. However, lowerring your idle helps. If you have the room to.

In regard to revving and not engaging. Does the clutch bell spin up? Is the spur gear spinning up? Sometimes a loose flywheel or a new tight clutch spring can cause grief. What clutch and flywheel do you have?

Tighten the spur gear all the way down too.

yes clutch bell is spinning and spur it will start to move sometime 10 feet or so then rev way up other times it wont move..

Anther quick question on the pillow balls i ran them all the way in as traxxas says but how tight do you tighten the retainers? tight and it binds loose enough to not bind and seems floopy ...sorry for all questions but this is first time I've had tmaxx all way apart

Keep the balls out enough to keep it from binding up. Keep in mind that suspension has to be able to travel. The pillow balls screw into the A arms and then you can tighten the pillow ball 'retainers' to reduce slop.

If you had the clutch apart I would take it back apart and make sure it went together the right way. Also, do not get any grease in this area. No lube wanted. A leaky from bearring on the shaft can let fuel into the clutch area as well and create slippage. While you have the clutch off, LIGHTLY sand the shoes and the inside of the bell. The goal is to not have any glazing inside the clutch area. More bite.

Did you tighten down the nut on the big slipper gear all the way? Try that before you pull the clutch off.

And lastly, if you havent lowerred your idle do that FIRST. I have seen TMaxx's not engage properly because idle was too high. Believe it or not...

well i think it was slipper i havent been able to go back out lighting and rain but it looks like it back off from where i had it at 1/4 turn was like 3/4 off ill let ya know some time this week if weather improves
