i have a tmaxx 3.3 and i let it sit for a while. i put fresh fuel in it. and it ran great for about 20 mins, then once it got warm it keeps stalling. in order to get it to fire i have to hold teh throttle wide open. but even then it doesn't run right. it keeps stalling, anyine have any ideas ?

I have the same problem. I can't restart the engine until it cools down again. I can only get about 5 minutes of runtime before it quits on me.

mine doesn't stall but it does need to cool down before i start it or else it wont start? any ideas anyone?

Sounds like its time for a new piston and sleeve by what you all are describing. Runs great for the first five minutes then stalls and is hard to restart. That's because when the engine is cool the piston and sleeve are tight as they should be, but as they heat up and expand you lose compression. Take your engines apart remove the piston and sleeve and push the piston up through the sleeve by hand. It should become harder to push the closer you get to the top of the sleeve and should stop about 1/4 inch from the very top. If you can push the piston all the way up then its wore out and needs to be replaced. Or use the Traxxas engine replacement program.

thats what i firgured so i just ripped er apart and checked(before you posted) and i when i tunred the flywheel with everything still inside the piston had abotu 1/8 of an inch or a bit more at tdc. but once i removed everything i could push the piston right thru the top of the sleeve? which is the proper way to check?
