I am now finished my break in of t-maxx 2.5. But as I drive around it cuts out every1-2minutes. Any ideas ?

make sure you have a fresh glow plug in her for starters.

I got a brand new glowplug, and it lights fine. I have to run the ez-start for like 5 minutes before the engine starts. What could be wrong ?

make sure that ur needles are set right
other wish it will be eather getting to much fuel and not being able to ignite OR not enough

I have been priming, but might not be doing it correctly. Can you explain how I should be priming ?

Also,is there a way to set the needles back to "factory settings". I may of moved them, this is my first nitro :)

thanks

should be in ur owners manual
i have only had my 1st nitro for 2 weeks aswell so welcome to RCNT :)

Close the HSN (the bigger needle on top) completely, and then give it 3 turns out - seems to be a good base setting to work with.

The LSN (the small one on the side) can be set flush to the inner ring of the carb linkage arm. :)

From the owners manual I have set the engine to factory settings. It still takes several minutes to start. I took out the plug and it is working.

I plugged off the exhaust for 30 sec to get the fuel flowing. Still not starting any faster.

As a test I disconnected the plug wire, and tried to start the engine. I know it wouldn't start this way,but just as a test. With the wire disconnected, the engine sounded exactly the same as it did with it attached.

I'm at a loss of what this could be.

As an update, I see that no fuel is getting into my engine.

I seen the fuel pass pass the little clip on the fuel line, but it's not getting into my piston. I took the plug out and tried to start and i'll i get is air out of the glow plug hole.

LSN should be 1.5 to 1.75 turns out and start on HSN with 4 turns out and retune see ownersw manual and traxxas website for more tips. after this it sounds like you are flooding the engine....try some wd40 in the engine and in carb then try and start..it has worked for me before

When priming the engine, you only only need your finger over the exhaust for 2-4 seconds max while turning the engine over with the ez start. If the tune is something like it should catch within a couple of seconds of removing your finger. All you are doing is building some pressure in the tank to push the fuel down to the carb.

There's definitely something wrong, it takes a long time to get any fuel.

Update: Fuel is getting to the HSN, but i can't confirm that it is getting any further. Is there a test I can do ?
