tmaxx gearing with the os.15cvx

what gearing should i run to get good hard launches with nice top end??? i have a foc so i was thinkin 18-19/72. will that work?

I run an 18/72 with a fantom engine that works well, I also have 16t bell that I haven't had time to play with yet.

I ran a 16/72 gearing with my OS .15 CV-X. It gives great bottom end. Although, you will notice the decrease in top speed. When I needed a little more top speed for the longer tracks I would run 16/70. A good compromise between speed and low end is 18/72

I have the OS CVX 15 with 18/72 gearing, also with a foc in one of my Ts, it launches real nice and did not hurt my top end much at all. You can also get more top or bottom end with your pipe and header selection.

If you are talking about the Duratrax big tube header and AE pipe, thats a great combo, thats what I am running on my OS CVX 15 with 18/72 gearing, and mip clutch.

I ran the AE pipe and NJ BTH on my .15 CV-X with an O'Donnel head. It provided a huge increase in low end over the Traxxas Aluminum Pipe and stock header I was running. It is an excellent combo.

Backspur, I tried that combo too but with a Mutant head on my CVX 15, the NJBTH would hit my a-arm, and rub against the shock spring when I went to the 18 tooth bell. It did perform very well but I took it off for those two reasons. It also cost $26 bucks the Duratrax big tube is $11 and does not interfere with any of the suspension.

i just put the 16 /72 on mine will test out this weekend to see how it is was running 20/72 and 18/72
