Tmaxx EZ start won't turn engine over?

I need help! I tried to start my Tmaxx today but when I hit the start button the electric motor spun and I could hear the gears spinning but the engine wasn't turning over? I took the electric starter motor and gears off and looked in the gearbox and none of the gears looked stripped? I had the glow plug out and the engine turned over by hand but the EZ start system just spun without turnng the engine over. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

you need a new one way bearing.

Yeah the one way is slipping, it may be shot, but clean it first, then a small drop of oil, it should work.

Thanks for the help. I'm fairly new to the tmaxx and don't know how the one way bearing works? I pulled the white gears off and found it but I don't know how the bearing locks up and turns the motor over? It seems like the bearing spins on the crankshaft not the bearing in itself but the while bearing on the shaft? Is that the way it's supposed to be? If the bearing is spinning on the crank how can it lock up and cause the motor to turn over the engine? Thanks for your time!

I think the rollers are eccentric. Not sure though, but it works. Put the writing towards the engine when you re-assemble it.

new battery for the ez start but check the status leds on the wand if the motor one doesn't come on the problems on the motor side of things as the wand goes into protection mode

I would say go to a pull start, I was having troubles with my EZ start too, not one since I got the pull start. $20.00, extremely easy install, and no more problems. Well worth it.

Hey I know exactly what the problem is. Take your engine out, take off the e-z start system from your engine and look at your one way starter bearing. I bet that it is wore out. I just had it happen to me and my buddy frekinjoey said what I am telling you. Well I decided to remove the E-Z start altogether and replace it with a Roto-start. I like this set up better it reduces a lot of weight.
