tmaxx engine swap

i got a 2.5trx engine in my tmaxx now and was looking into a 3.3 engine on ebay if i bought that do i have to upgrade anything else on the truck or can i just swap engines?

I got my 3.3 off ebay too. It arrived yesterday and dropped right in. I have looked around on different forums and have found that that motor will make other parts work harder in which replacing later. Other than that it will drop right in. I am very very happy with the switch. Good luck!

Yep it's a direct drop in I would suggest losing the stock composite pipe and getting the tuned resinator pipe for the 3.3 oh and seal then engine as soon as you take it outta the box. It will save you some tuning headaches down the road.

I would look over the auction carefully. I have seen them when i was looking a week and a half ago going for 110 buy it now price and then they had the bid ones up close to that figure to. Make sure it isn't the guy on there that is selling the rebuilt ones

+1 on that I buy a lot of stuff on ebay simply because the closest hobby shop is 45 miles away in either direction it's kind of a geographical oddity lol. Look at their feedback I never buy from anyone with less then 99.5% positive feedback 79.99 plus 10 bucks for shipping aint bad at all just make sure it's the real deal ask them lots of questions before you buy.

he said its brand new in the box never ran any fuel through it. his feed back is 100% and is a number one seller on there. wish me luck guys and thanks for all the help

Sounds like you found a steal! they usually go for around 110-150 depending on who the seller is. 100% feeback is great you shouldn't get hurt at all In fact chances are I probley bought some stuff from him myself.
